It has been two seasons since the Wild Vivariums Pet Care Show received an update. It is hard to believe it has been that long! We will reintroduce the show and discuss how it has changed since the original season back in 2021.

Max, the 10-year-old female White's Tree Frog

This season, the show will feature two enclosures of frogs, a few inverts, and some carnivorous plants. One of the highlights is the update the Australian frogs received. They are leaving their 125-gallon Vivarium for something better. The dumpy tree frogs and bell frogs will move into a massive terrarium and have an enclosure tailored to them! We will be featuring this later in the season, but it will surely engulf much of this season, and viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy more frequent updates on the animals in this ecosystem. The Australian Vivarium will showcase this dynamic ecosystem of tree frogs like never before!

Atlas, the male Green and Golden Bell frog

The other featured enclosure is the 101-gallon enclosure featuring the gray tree frogs, the "Gray Army." The Gray Army has been very stable and featured in many videos since its near collapse in 2022 - 2023. The story of Esperanza has not only brought hope to the Woods and Forests Media Community, but he has also helped make the Gray Army the most recognizable group synonymous with the multi-media brand. His name means hope, and he has brought that with him since joining us on that fateful night during Frog Week 2023. Another tree frog, "Dexter," joined their family during Frog Week 2024. The two are joined by the longest-tenured member of the Army, Melania. She has been thriving and has been showcased throughout many episodes. One upcoming addition to the show will be the introductions to the different animals, like what we did in Season 1. It is nearly an entirely new cast of stars, and we want the Woods and Forests Community to have a clear picture of the stars of the show.

Another aspect of this show is the Critter Talks. We partnered with PA Woods and Forests Inc., our collaborative partner, for upcoming presentations for grade school students, seniors in nursing homes, and libraries. This year's programs will be featured on the Wild Vivariums show and later featured on the conservation project Frog Week 2025. The goal is to introduce grade school students to backyard conservation and to help them develop an interest and appreciation for the native wildlife in Pennsylvania and across the United States. The presentations will feature carnivorous plants like Venus flytraps and pitcher plants, giant American millipedes, roaches, the Gray Army, and some toads from The Woods Uncut. We have partnered with the Carnivorous Plant Nursery and Josh's Frogs to gather the plants and the millipedes. We are bringing the frogs and toads, and this will all be for the conservation goals of PA Woods and Forests. Some presentations have started, but the plants are dormant, and the millipedes are slowing down. We are looking forward to incorporating this into the show this year. Thanks to Carnivorous Plant Nursery, Josh's Frogs, and PA Woods and Forests for including us and allowing us to feature the presentations on the show.

This season, we are featuring care tips for tree frogs and inverts. We will highlight the pet millipedes and colony of Dubia roaches, along with the Australian Vivarium and Gray Army. The inverts and carnivorous plants don't have a group name yet, so perhaps we should group them together?
